Located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, northwest China, Gansu is one of the cradles of Chinese cultures. It occupies a total area of 450,000 square kilometers (173,700 square miles)
ICOP 2020 will be held in Lanzhou University (LZU) which is in the downtown of Lanzhou City of Gansu Province, P. R. China. There are numerous internal air connections to Lanzhou airport from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Urumqi or other gateway cities. Lanzhou is also an important railway hub in China so it is possible to reach Lanzhou by train from other cities as well.
There are regular airport buses running between the downtown and the airport. The bus tickets can be purchased at the airport. The terminus in downtown for the airport bus is the Lanzhou Railway Station, but the next-to-last stop is the Oriental Hotel (also called as Lanzhou Eastern Hotel) which is located adjacent to Lanzhou University. The cost of bus ticket is less than $5.
